2022 Dancer – JAYVO SCOTT

Jayvo Scott is an internationally known award-winning, second-generation tattoo artist, who has been a Brevard County resident for over 25 years. His father taught him the art of tattooing, and he has since been highly recognized across the tattoo industry. His tattooing has enabled him to travel around the globe adorning people’s skin with beautiful permanent artwork, some of which can be seen in magazines, television shows, and films as well.  Currently, Jayvo and his wife Lisa, own True To You Tattoo in Melbourne, Brevard County’s premier tattoo studio. 

 Be yourself no matter what, these are the words to live by, according to Jayvo. Integrity, professionalism, and respect are key to his success, (something he is no stranger to). After competing on Spike TV’s hit show Inkmaster, Jayvo created an innovative tattoo studio that puts the client first and provides them with a one-of-a-kind experience to be remembered forever. Jayvo even tattoos Sheriff Wayne Ivey! 

Tattooing isn’t his only forte, Jayvo is also an actor who has appeared in many films and tv shows, including Complications, The Gifted, and NBC’s Good Girls. His art has even been showcased as the posters for the Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festivals (MIFF) for the past 5 years. Bringing art, (tattoo art especially) into tv and film, and merging the two worlds is a big goal of his. 

On a local level, Jayvo is actively involved in the community in the form of fundraisers and charity events, including special events that his tattoo studio holds to benefit those in need. 

Being a performer, and since attending last year, Jayvo is super excited for this event and can’t wait to cut some rug!
