Meg McGivney has been a been a teacher for 19 years, and her current tenure is as the orchestra and choir director at Rockledge High School. Prior to moving back to her native home, Titusville, she worked in Chicago, building an inner-city orchestra program at Chicago Bulls College Prep. Outside of the music classroom, she is the varsity tennis coach at Rockledge High School and is currently earning her doctorate degree from The Florida State University in Educational Leadership and Policy. She joined the BSYO this season as the string orchestra conductor. When she is not coaching tennis and doing all things music, she is spending time with her 8-year-old son Llewyn.
